Special teams: Dennis Gardeck

Gardeck is what you’d call a “grinder” . Although he hasn’t had a huge amount of playing time on the defensive side of the ball, he attacks whatever role the coaching staff gives him with enthusiasm and tenacity.

In the NFL, once you get on the field you’ve got to capitalize on that opportunity, and that’s what Gardeck has done on special teams.  Dennis’ high motor sometimes is a BAD thing according to head coach Kliff Kingsbury, who says he goes so hard in practice on special teams that he sometimes doesn’t allow them to get the looks they want.

Next. Cardinals place premium on special teams. dark

It’s always fun to have guys like this on your team that you know care about the wins and losses as much as you do. Dennis might find a role on the defense this year in the outside linebacker rotation, but, we’ll look for him to keep excelling on special teams.
