NFC West

The Cardinals open the season on the road against the defending NFC Champion San Francisco 49ers.  The Cardinals played them close in both games last season.

Its the first game for new Cardinals receiver DeAndre Hopkins.  Fans have been waiting for this day for almost six months.  Will he connect immediately with Murray?

The biggest addition outside of Hopkins is first round pick, linebacker Isaiah SImmons.  Can he be  big enough game changer and improve the middle of the defense?  They also get cornerback Patrick Peterson back for a full season after missing the first six weeks on suspension in 2019.

The 49ers are basically the same team they were last season, coming off a Super Bowl loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.  However we know how difficult it is to get back to the big game.

They are being predicted by many to finish first in the NFC West and why not?  They lost offensive lineman Joe Staley to retirement but other than that, all of their major weapons, incouding tight end George Kittle, are back.

The Seattle Seahawks have some changes but the one constant, Russell Wilson at quarterback, returns so no need to bet against them much in 2020.  Most expect them to be in the thick of the Wild Card Playoff race.

The Los Angeles Rams had a disapointing 2019 compared to their Super Bowl appearance in 2018.  They will be loaded at receiver again, with Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp leading the way.

It’s hard to pinpoint how the 2020 will go for them.  We have a prediction for them anyway.

Prediction:

San Francisco 11-5

Arizona 10-6

Seattle 9-7

Los Angeles 7-9
