Key matchups

Washington Front Seven vs Kyler Murray

The one area the Cardinals could have difficulty with on Sunday is with Washington’s front seven, specifically Ryan Kerrigan.  They sacked Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz eight times last Sunday.

Kyler Murray has been known to slide, sometimes prematurely.  If he slides early behind the line of scrimmage, that will count as a sack.  Murray is going to need to find a way to get to the outside and turn some corners if he is going to use his feet as effectively as he did last week against the 49ers.

Dwayne Haskins vs Cardinals secondary

Cardinals cornerbacks played well for the most part last week.  Key stops by both Patrick Peterson and Byron Murphy Jr. helped secure the victory over the 49ers.  Now they have to contend with second year quarterback Dwayne Haskins.

Haskins will try to sling it at time.  He had three receptions of 19-yards or longer last week against Philadelphia.  Still, he only threw for 178-yards but he did not throw an interception.

Washington ran for just 80-yards as a team last week.  Haskins put the ball in the air 31 times, so the secondary will need to be on their game once again.
