Key matchups

Cardinals defense vs Lions TE T.J. Hockenson – the Lions tight end last year had a field day against the Cardinals defense.  Not that the Cardinals had much luck against other tight ends but Hockenson was a huge reason why the Lions jumped out to a large 24-6 lead.

The Cardinals showed last week against Washington they can cover a tight end when they want to.  They are going to really need to want to this weekend to avoid a duplicate performance.

Lions defense vs Kyler Murray – Murray has 150-yards rushing over the first two weeks and has found the end zone on the ground three times already.  If there is a team the Cardinals likely runs over on the ground, it would seem to be the Lions right now.

The Lions have given up an astounding 408-yards rushing so far this season over the first two weeks.  Do the math and that comes to 204-yards per game.

Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury said this week that Murray mostly just feels it out and runs on his own.  Clearly you could see some designed runs for Murray last week.  You almost have to expect designed runs for Murray this week against that poor of a defense.
