2020 fantasy recap

In the offseason, Peter Schrager saw the potential in Dan Arnold, and included him in his top-10 breakout candidates for the year. The Division III wide receiver-turned-tight end Dan Arnold delivered big time. Despite the small number of touchdowns at 4, he’s already doubled his total from last year and if he scores on Sunday, he’d tie Leonard Pope for TE touchdown receptions in a year with five. Maxx Williams was a straight up blocking tight end, but did have his longest reception of his career, with a 42 yarder against the Eagles.

2021 fantasy predictions

Dan Arnold continues to develop. At this rate, I can see him tying the record set in 1967 by Jackie Smith with 9 touchdowns in a season. He is a first down machine, with 21 of 28 his catches moving the chains. He is really the only person worth projecting here, and should definitely be targeted in the late rounds in the drafts of 12 and 14 team leagues. He is a very sneaky pick that not many will be thinking about.

Can you trust Dan Arnold?

I don’t see why you can’t. He hasn’t given us anything but improvement here in the 2020 season, and despite some drops here and there, he arguably is a better at receiver than some on the roster. Once again, he’ll be a sleeper in drafts for next year.
