Defense gets at least two interceptions of Rams quarterback John Wolford

With injuries to the Rams top running backs, they may have to rely more on their receivers and tight ends on Sunday.  That puts the game plan in backup quarterback Wolford’s hands with Jared Goff out.

Wolford likely will put up some good numbers. The Cardinals defense has had a hard time stopping whatever the Rams have put out on the field over the past four seasons.

That said, Wolford’s inexperience should come into play to where he makes a couple of critical mistakes. It will be a bend but don’t break defense on Sunday.

The Cardinals will still have trouble stopping the likes of tight ends Gerald Everett and Tyler Higbee. Robert Woods and Josh Reynolds will be the go-to guys at receiver with Cooper Kupp out.

This defense has come up huge a number of times this season, right when it was needed the most. One more opportunistic afternoon can vault the team to their first playoff game in five seasons.
