The Arizona Cardinals signed some aging veterans after the first wave of free agency.

And the signings ranged from the good to the great, to the head-scratcher. The Arizona Cardinals had fantastic pickups in J.J. Watt and Rodney Hudson, despite their age. They also had some questionable calls in A.J. Green and Matt Prater.

And while the Cardinals can still pick up another solid contributor or two in free agency, the first wave is in the books. So even if they sign some gadget players, odds are they will look to the NFL Draft in Cleveland to fill their remaining needs.

Today’s post discusses where the Cardinals must now consider spending their two early draft picks now that they received help on both sides of the line and retained a few key pass rushers. If they can fulfill the following needs with a limited number of picks and cap space, it’s safe to say that they will again contend in the NFC West.

But hopefully, in 2021, we will see different results. Let’s see where the Red Birds still need help.
