We now know when the Arizona Cardinals will be holding each of their practices during this summer’s training camp.

The Arizona Cardinals announced their training camp dates for the 2021 preseason on Tuesday. As in the past, the practices will be held at State Farm Stadium.

However this year there are a few changes along with some things that will remain the same. Let’s cover what’s not changing first.

Parking and admission will be free. There is also the return of the Red/White Scrimmage which will take place on Saturday, August 7th from 1 p.m to 3:30 pm.

Now for some changes.

What do you need to know about this year’s Arizona Cardinals training camp?

You must have a digital ticket for entry. The limit per ticket order is four people. In the past, you could just show up and go in. That is no longer the case.

Only season ticket holders will initially be able to obtain tickets. They are going to get an exclusive two-day window to get tickets before the general public.

That part doesn’t sit too well. Normally in a ticket situation, I have no issue with season ticket holders getting the first crack. However, the reason a lot of people go to the camp practices is because it’s the only way a lot of people can afford to see their favorite players at any point during the season.

So, starting July 19th at 10:00 a.m., it’s on for season ticket holders. The general public will have access starting at 10:00 a.m. on July 21st.

Because of continued concerns related to COVID-19, there will not be any autograph sessions this year. That was expected and it is understandable.

A total of 12 practices will be open to the public. The first practice open to the public is Friday, July 30th. That practice will be from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.

The other dates are Saturday, July 31st (1-3 p.m.), Monday, August 2nd (1:30-3 p.m.), Tuesday, August 3rd, Wednesday, August 4th, Thursday, August 5th, Friday, August 6th will all be from 8:45-10:30 a.m.

There are open practices as well the following week on Monday, August 9th (1:30-3p.m.), Tuesday, August 10th, and Wednesday, August 11th from 8:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The final open practice to the public is Sunday, August 15th from 1:30 p.m to 3 p.m.

The Cardinals have a preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys on Friday, August 13th at 7 p.m. at State Farm Stadium. They also host the Kansas City Chiefs on ESPN on Friday, August 20th at 5 p.m.
