The biggest cuts on the defensive side are likely to come from the secondary. Robert Alford is attempting his third season with Arizona since signing as a free agent prior to the 2019 season. He is yet to play a down in the regular season with them due to two consecutive season-ending injuries in the preseason.

Two draft picks, linebacker Victor Dimukeje and safety James Wiggins likely miss out on the final 53- man roster. Tay Gowan, who has grown into a fan favorite already, could be that fourth cornerback, getting that spot over Alford.
