Jordan Phillips – DT

Many fans were thrilled when Keim inked Jordan Phillips to a three-year deal last year. After all, the defensive tackle was fresh off of an outstanding season with the Buffalo Bills. Phillips was credited with 9.5 sacks and 16 quarterback hits in 2020, and the Cards were obviously impressed.

Phillips was handed a $30 million contract, but he has done very little to prove himself worthy of that amount of scratch. The 6-foot-6, 341-pounder appeared in just nine contests in 2020 because of a pulled hamstring, and he has already missed five matchups (due to an undisclosed injury) thus far in 2021.

The truth of the matter is, Arizona’s defensive line did not miss a beat with Phillips out of the lineup. If the opportunity arises, Keim would more than likely jump at the chance to remove the 29-year old underachiever from both the locker room and their payroll.
