Devon Kennard – LB

During the 2020 offseason, the Cardinals and former Detroit Lions linebacker Devon Kennard agreed to a three-year contract worth up to $20 million.

Since joining Arizona’s roster, Kennard hasn’t done much to live up to the deal he signed in 2020. In 20 games with the Cardinals, the veteran linebacker has only racked up a total of 31 tackles and three sacks.

For a guy that is scheduled to have a cap hit of more than $8 million in 2022, it doesn’t seem like chances are very high that Kennard will still be in Arizona after the current season.

The Cardinals can free up almost $6 million in cap space by releasing the linebacker next year, and with some potentially massive extensions on the horizon, Arizona needs all the cap space they can get in 2022.
