Arizona’s run defense vs. Dallas’ rushing attack

While the Cardinals have had one of the worst rushing defenses in 2021, they held Jonathan Taylor to 4.0 yards per carry in Week 16. And to just 2.5 yards per carry after his initial run went for 43 yards.

This week, the Cardinals face a dynamic duo at running back in Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard. However, both have wound up on the injury report, but have so far been full-time competitors in practice. So expect them to play on Sunday afternoon.

Sure, Elliott and Pollard can continue to wreak havoc on a suspect Cardinals’ rushing defense. And this time last week, I would not have slated this as a favorable matchup. However, the Cardinals have played well against two of the league’s best back in Taylor and Derrick Henry in 2021. Indicating they can once again rise to the challenge.
