Pat Shurmur

Another well-traveled offensive mind who Arizona could take a look at is Pat Shurmur, a veteran coach who served as the offensive coordinator of the Denver Broncos over the past two campaigns.

Shurmur was a head coach three times at the pro level, filling that role for the Cleveland Browns (2011-12), Philadelphia Eagles (2015-interim), and New York Giants (2018-19). The 56-year old also served as an offensive coordinator with the St. Louis Rams (2009-10), Eagles (2013-15), Minnesota Vikings (2016-17), and Broncos (2020-21).

The Michigan native was a part of Vic Fangio’s staff in Denver, and both were let go by that organization back on January 9. Shurmur is a nephew of the late Fritz Shurmur, a veteran assistant who was a defensive coordinator with the Phoenix Cardinals back in the early 1990s.
