Jadeveon Clowney – EDGE

2021 Team: Cleveland Browns

There’s a decent chance that edge-rusher Chandler Jones will bolt from Arizona in 2022, so a replacement for the four-time Pro Bowler would be a necessity. Veteran Jadeveon Clowney would be an excellent candidate for that gig.

Clowney is a defender who can certainly get to the opposing signal-caller (41 career sacks), but his real strength is his ability to stop the run. Those who follow the Cardinals are well aware of how awful Joseph’s contingent was in clamping down on opposing ball-carriers last season.

Bringing Clowney to town would reunite him with J.J. Watt and Hopkins, a pair of the 29-year-old’s former teammates with the Houston Texans. The 6-foot-5, 255-pounder has made 97 career appearances (88 starts) with four different franchises since he entered the league back in 2014.
