Tyler Conklin – TE

2021 Team: Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings got some outstanding value out of tight end Tyler Conklin last year. The 2018 fifth-round draft selection received a measly $685,258 for his efforts, a number that is practically “chump change” for a starter in the National Football League.

Arizona’s top two tight ends on the depth chart, Zach Ertz and Maxx Williams, are both scheduled to test the free-agent waters in March. There’s a possibility that the franchise will have to replace one of the pair, and there’s a general belief that Keim will make a strong push to keep Ertz in the nest.

There’s no doubt that Conklin deserves a substantial raise this year, but the 26-year old is still not likely to be paid an overwhelming amount on the open market. If an agreement with Ertz can not be reached, Conklin would certainly be an attractive, cheaper alternative.
