2021 Team: Houston Texans

Due to the fact that both James Conner and Chase Edmonds are due to enter free agency in a couple of weeks, there’s a very good chance that Arizona will have to add at least one running back. It just so happens that an intriguing option will soon be looking for work, a ball-carrier that the organization is quite familiar with.

David Johnson was part of the 2020 trade with the Houston Texans that brought DeAndre Hopkins to the Cardinals. Could Keim have any interest in bringing the 30-year-old Johnson back for a second stint with the team?

The 6-foot-1, 224-pound Johnson could still have some value as a complementary back to either Conner or Edmonds. Arizona’s former third-round selection played for head coach Kliff Kingsbury in 2019, so the familiarity that Johnson already has with the “Air Raid” offense would be a plus.
