Edge Rushers (5)

Markus Golden, Devon Kennard, Dennis Gardeck, Cameron Thomas, Myjai Sanders

Golden was a stud at edge last season, logging 11 sacks. Kennard is facing a make-it-or-break-it season. But of the current players on the roster, he seems to be the best bet to start in Week One. Gardeck can change that, having posted solid production at edge in 2020 while filling in as a sound rotational piece.

The Cardinals drafted two edge rushers on Day 2 of the draft in Cameron Thomas and Myjai Sanders. Neither posted spectacular numbers in college, but they both possess prototype size and length. Expect Thomas and Sanders to see an ample amount of playing time early if Kennard continues to regress.

It also wouldn’t be surprising to see the duo manning one side of the defense while Golden takes the other. Gardeck can also fill in. This is, overall, the position group that doesn’t have an edge rusher as dynamic as Chandler Jones was. However, they have the potential to grow into a solid unit.
