The Atlanta Falcons could be a nasty speedbump for the Arizona Cardinals
Coming after a stretch of insanely challenging games (Buccaneers, Chargers, to name a few) lies the matchup with the Atlanta Falcons on New Year’s Day in 2023. After going through a gaudy gauntlet of great teams, this could be seen as the “easy” game.
Arizona experienced this in 2018 when an easy game turned into a 40-16 blowout win for Atlanta. In fact, Atlanta has a 5-3 record in the last eight matchups between these two teams.
There’s also the fact that they’ll be changing time zones in addition to starting a whole new year in a different state- something that will undoubtedly be a challenge. If the Arizona Cardinals are off in this game, this could be a reason why.
Kyle Pitts could be in for a tight end showdown with Zach Ertz and Trey McBride, but only time will tell if it happens. On the other hand, Arizona may just be sleepless in Atlanta.
