Can Marquise Brown thrive under the pressure of replacing DeAndre Hopkins?
It’s certainly not going to be an easy feat, especially given Hopkins’ ball skills and athleticism. Can Muray recreate some magic to help Brown perform well? The answer lies more so in the hands of Kingsbury.
Kingsbury’s offense has failed to take deep shots often enough, and the average depth of Murray’s targets have been closer to the line of scrimmage than most would like (no higher than 8.0 yards on average)
Brown must be used to stretch the field and take the roof off of defenses, and let the rest of receiving options clean up underneath. If this is followed, then Brown has a good shot at replacing Hopkins- especially the 2021 version.
Verdict: TBD.
