J.J. Watt still has enough in the tank to be a threat for the Arizona Cardinals

When J.J. Watt got hurt against the Houston Texans this past season, the Cardinals defense had to work overtime on top of an offense that stopped functioning midway through the year. Watt has dealt with injuries far too often in his career.

Yet, he’s never quit and always worked ferociously to return from them. Therefore, it would be a safe thing to do to play him sparingly throughout games so that way he can be fresh for a playoff push. What would Watt have been able to do this past year when the Cardinals were slipping?

The answer to that is a motivational and playmaking boost. Watt commands respect and attention from opposing offenses; that only improves the guys around him. Watt probably knows he doesn’t have much time left, and it’s safe to guess he wants a Super Bowl ring bad.

If Watt can be healthy for the playoffs, then this defense can be very dangerous. But, of course, any Arizona Cardinals fan loves the sound of that.
