This could be an overreaction, and it may be the boldest of all of the predictions I make in this article. But after seeing McSorley in his extended playing time in the first half against Cincinnati, McSorley looks exactly like what Kliff Kingsbury wants his quarterbacks to be.
McSorley is much younger than Colt McCoy, and even though McCoy has had a lot more NFL experience, it could give an unexpected cut to make room for someone else on the roster. Now it’s highly unlikely, but it’s not the most unheard of idea.
McSorley is more mobile than McCoy, and his RPO fakes are much better. As to who has the better arm? Now that’s debatable. There’s just something about McSorley’s spry-ness that makes the possibility of him being a wildcat quarterback that much better than McCoy.
