A.J. Green still has a chance to make his mark in history

AJ Green has seen the good and the bad throughout his career. He recorded five consecutive 1,000-yard season to begin his career which led to his trajectory to superstardom. Green was what the new generation wide receiver looked like during that time as he became the player opposing defenses game planned for.

He is one of the most gifted receivers to ever play in the league, and he possesses all the tools from his hands, speed, height and always having a knack for making big plays. Just in the prime of his career, injuries began to take their toll on Green as he was forced to miss significant time.

Can Green overcome the infamous injury bug?

While Green suffered an ankle injury back in 2019 as a member of the Cincinnati Bengals, he went on to miss that entire season. When he returned the next year, Green appeared to be washed up as he had a mediocre season especially by his standards. That very next offseason, Green signed with Arizona  as a free agent with the hope that he could still prove he was good enough to continue his career and bring value to a team.

He didn’t have the typical season we are used to seeing from him pre-injury, but he did put up some decent numbers as he caught 54 passes for 848 yards as he proved himself to be a reliable target for Murray.

What’s amazing about Green is how he has battled through all his injuries and still being dominant enough early in his career to the point where he has etched his name in the history books among the greats.

Green is currently 46th all-time in receiving yards and tied for 50th all-time in receiving TD’s. While he is still considered to be a decent WR there is still belief that he can still be an elite WR in pursuit of these milestones.
