The Arizona Cardinals return to action this week in a must-win tilt against the New England Patriots. Can they keep their playoff hopes alive?
The Arizona Cardinals are, ironically, still in the thick of things despite their 4-8 record. And with a little bit of luck, they can mathematically still win the NFC West. And their playoff hopes are still very much a possibility, considering the weakened state of the NFC.
But they need to start playing to their potential. We need to see vintage Kyler Murray in action, with DeAndre Hopkins (if he plays) and Marquise Brown serving as the dynamic duo at wide receiver that everyone in the Red Sea knows they can be.
So can they win this duel against Mac Jones and Bill Belichick? Let’s check out the odds and make a prediction.

Honestly, my guess is that the Arizona Cardinals take it to the Patriots coming off of their late bye week. Quarterback Kyler Murray has faced criticism from all four corners of the NFL Universe, including myself, and sooner or later, he’s going to come out with something to prove.
That could easily happen this week, as Kliff and Kyler MUST get creative, and it could revert to the backyard style that Murray excelled at in the past. It’s kind of why they started the 2021 season at 7-0.
Meanwhile, Mac Jones has also been struggling on all fronts, And he even had a couple of Murray-like outbursts on the sideline, himself. But hey, buddy, this isn’t Alabama. Things don’t come so easily in the NFL, do they?

Neither Murray nor Jones have looked good this season, but Murray’s experience is why he will lead the Cardinals to a win in this one. The Cardinals pull off the upset, 27-20 in a game where the Patriots score a touchdown after the Redbirds drop into prevent defense.
