The Arizona Cardinals aren’t exactly the center of attention in the NFL. The casual football fan has very little knowledge of the Cardinals’ roster or scheme.
Sounds like the perfect opportunity for fantasy football players. While your leaguemates reach on better-known stars, here are a few Arizona Cardinals who you can draft to win your fantasy football league.
4 must-draft Arizona Cardinals for fantasy football players
4. Trey Benson
In many fantasy football leagues, running back Trey Benson may not even get drafted. He’s a backup running back who barely produced in his rookie season. But if the season plays out just right, Benson could be in line for a huge year.
NFL running backs often see a huge drop in production around the age of 30. At 30 years old, starting running back James Conner could be set to hit that decline. That’s exactly why Arizona spent a third-round pick on Trey Benson last year. Benson is the heir to Conner’s spot. If Conner goes down, Benson steps in as the lead back in one of the best running offenses in the NFL.
3. Kyler Murray
For years, Kyler Murray has been a low-end QB1 in fantasy football. In 2024, he finished as the tenth quarterback in scoring. Despite his rushing upside, Murray is still available in later rounds of most fantasy drafts.
He could be set for a huge year in 2025. Murray has already said that he wants to run the ball more this season. With another year in Drew Petzing’s system and development from Trey McBride and Marvin Harrison Jr., Kyler Murray could be a steal in fantasy football drafts.
2. Trey McBride
This one is no secret. Trey McBride finished second among tight ends in fantasy scoring last season, and he’s likely to rank near the top of the league again in 2025.
McBride’s dominant 2024 season came with one major downside: he scored just two touchdowns. I’d expect McBride to beat that total at the very least, making him a top-tier tight end in fantasy football. McBride is the top target in this offense, which is rare for a tight end.
1. Marvin Harrison Jr.
Marvin Harrison Jr. is set for a breakout season in 2025. He had a relatively disappointing 2024 season, especially when compared to fellow rookies Brian Thomas Jr. and Malik Nabers. But the talent is undeniable.
According to reports, MHJ has bulked up this offseason. His teammates and coaches are expecting a big year from him in his sophomore season. He’s currently being drafted as the WR9. If he can earn a larger percentage of targets, Marvin Harrison Jr. could provide incredible value in the second round.
