It is officially April first, meaning it is officially draft month. The 2026 NFL Draft is being held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and the Arizona Cardinals hold the No. 3 overall selection. To say it is an open book for them is an understatement, as general manager Monti Ossenfort has plenty of different positions that he’s open to tackling.

Before free agency, the Cardinals had a need for running back, offensive line, and safety. Ossenfort did a very solid job addressing those needs in a swift manner. He signed Tyler Allgeier and Isaac Seumalo to fill the vacancies on the offensive side of the ball. Later on, he signed Andrew Wingard to replace Jalen Thompson at safety.

These quick moves enabled the front office to really do their due diligence when bringing in draft prospects for top-30 visits, as well as ones to interview ahead of the draft.

However, the truth is that Ossenfort may not even pick at No. 3, as he has expressed that there is potential to trade down.

Bleacher Report followed those rumors by building a mock draft that featured a possible trade down. In this case, they had the Cardinals trading with the New Orleans Saints, which saw them receive pick No. 8 and an additional first-rounder in 2027, as well as a third-rounder and a 2027 fourth-rounder.

With the No. 8 pick, they had Arizona going with University of Utah tackle Spencer Fano, who is one of the top two offensive line prospects in this year's class, along with Miami’s Francis Mauigoa.

Will this actually happen? We don’t know, but it sure makes things intriguing as we get down to the wire.
