When it comes to strengths on the Cardinals roster, they way heavily in favor of the offense. With the best tight end in Trey McBride, and a wide receiver duo of Marvin Harrison Jr. and Michael Wilson. There was plenty of upside in 2025 for fans to be happy about heading into the offseason.
The offensive line wasn’t half bad either, headlined by Paris Johnson Jr. and Kelvin Beachum. However, with Beachum at 36 years of age, the Cardinals would be best to evaluate options at offensive tackle, to have a proper transition when he retires.
While not the frontrunner, CBS Sports projects the Cardinals to at least be in on one pass protector in particular. Someone who headlined a solid offensive line in an AFC South division that is known for great front sevens.

Cardinals Potentially In On OT Braden Smith
The Indianapolis Colts, whom Smith was a part of, were on a roll to start the 2025 season. At 8–2 through ten games, people wanted to give quarterback Daniel Jones the credit for the success, but it was hard to overlook one element in particular.
Indianapolis had a great offensive line, with Quenton Nelson leading the way. But on the other side of him, the team had Braden Smith, and the duo was able to put edge rushers to a halt when Jones was dropping back to pass.
We don’t know who will be under center for the Cardinals in 2026, but imagine the time they will have to throw with the combination of Paris Johnson and Braden Smith. No front seven would want to deal with that duo by any means.
Plus, if Arizona were to add a true No. 1running back to the picture, the offense would be plenty more dynamic.
But it all starts in the trenches, and it would be interesting to see if the Cardinals can pull this move off.
