What was widely expected officially became a reality on Sunday, the Arizona Cardinals hired Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur to be the head coach for the near future.
The decision came after the Las Vegas Raiders planned to arrange a contract with the Seahawks offensive coordinator, Klint Kubiak. Nonetheless, Arizona finally has its guy. On top of that, LaFleur also has a similar group of skill-position players to the one he had in L.A.
The big reason why the Rams were in the NFC Championship was due to how potent their offense was. A wide receiver duo of Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, coupled with a two-headed monster at running back in Kyren Williams and Blake Corum, was incredibly dangerous on its own. Add the MVP caliber performance of Matthew Stafford, and that made it incredibly hard to stop.
Aside from QB, the Cardinals have a solid group of offensive playmakers cut out for LaFleur. From the league’s best tight end in Trey McBride to Marvin Harrison Jr. and Michael Wilson on each side of the line, LaFleur will have plenty of unique play calls prepared for the guys he has inherited.

The big question that needs an answer regarding the offense is, who will be the starting quarterback in 2026?
There are plenty of rumors that Kyler Murray, the Cardinals’ signal caller since 2019, will be moved during the offseason.
Murray suffered a foot injury in the team’s Week 5 loss to the Tennessee Titans, and it required him to be placed on injured reserve. When eligible to come back, the team instead chose to stick with Jacoby Brissett at quarterback.
Back to the main storyline, the Cardinals have their coach. An offensive guru to say the least, and he has plenty of weapons to work with in 2026.
