The NFL Honors were held in the Bay Area on Thursday Night, with awards being issued out to players for their successful campaigns in 2025. On top of that, we also learned who would be getting inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Drew Brees, Roger Craig, Luke Kuechly, Adam Vinatieri, and…Larry Fitzgerald headlined the modern-era class. It is incredibly safe to say that Fitzgerald’s inevitable selection is a perfect distraction from the disaster of a 2025 season.

Fitzgerald, now 42 years old, played 17 seasons with the Arizona Cardinals, and he acquired a hefty amount of accolades over the course of his illustrious career.

Fitzgerald accounted for 17,492 receiving yards and 121 touchdowns, while starting in 261 of the 263 games he played. He earned 11 Pro Bowl selections, along with one All-Pro selection. Fitzgerald was also named to the 2010s All-Decade team.

While most people know him for his on-field success, Fitzgerald is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. His kind demeanor earned him the 2016 Walter Payton Man of the Year Award.

Despite the Cardinals never winning a Super Bowl, the team at least made an appearance, with plenty more competitive seasons stacked on top of that.

One of Fitzgerald’s most memorable moments was when he caught a pass in overtime against the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Divisional Round, taking it 75 yards inside the five-yard line. A few plays later, he scored on a pitch play that sent the Cardinals to the NFC championship game.

The definition of loyalty, it is safe to say that the selection is well deserved, and his legacy will be remembered forever.
