The Cardinals officially cut quarterback Kyler Murray, and experts around the league have no clue where the 28-year-old will end up next.
There were a few teams that were deemed as potential suitors, but none of them actually attempted to make a move to acquire Murray via trade.
The Miami Dolphins, New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, and Minnesota Vikings were a few teams that popped up in the rumors, but none of them actually went out and made an official offer to the Cardinals about Murray’s availability. It must have had to do with Murray’s contract, which turned into a dumpster fire quickly for the Cardinals.

However, Murray had an official visit with one of those teams, and many experts around the league are beginning to see that the destination he visited will officially become a reality very soon.
Murray visited the Minnesota Vikings, and he is the favorite to land the starting job in the Twin Cities. This comes after a lackluster second year from J.J. McCarthy, who missed time with an injury.
In 2025, Murray only appeared in five games before being placed on season-ending injured reserve with a foot injury. The team relied on Jacoby Brissett for the remainder of the season, and to be quite honest, the passing game didn’t look that bad.
Murray’s career ended with only a single playoff appearance, which the Cardinals lost 34–11 against the Los Angeles Rams. Murray also logged only a pair of Pro Bowl selections.
We wish Murray well in his future endeavors and hope he lands that contract in Minnesota.
