It is without a doubt that the Cardinals' coaching staff saw quite the turnover, as most pieces departed before the team even finalized the deal with Mike LaFleur.
For instance, offensive coordinator Drew Petzing took the same job with the Detroit Lions. Another, much larger example is former head coach Jonathan Gannon becoming the defensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers.
With an entirely new staff in place, everyone from the Gannon regime will likely be out of their jobs in Arizona. However, instead of taking the same role with a new team, some are getting interviewed for jobs that would be a promotion in their book.
An example of this is Cardinals’ former passing game coordinator, Connor Senger, who is being interviewed by the Chicago Bears for the offensive coordinator opening.

The Bears lost their former OC, Declan Doyle, to the Baltimore Ravens, as he joined Jesse Minter’s staff. At only 28 years of age, Doyle will have the opportunity to call plays for the first time in his young coaching career, something he didn’t have the chance to do in Chicago, as it was Ben Johnson running the show.
If hired, Senger will be taking on the same role as Doyle, and it would be best for his development. Being able to learn from one of the league’s best playcallers would be a dream scenario and provide excellent experience.
In his time with Arizona, Senger was able to help Michael Wilson take the next big step in his development, as he eclipsed 1,000 receiving yards for the first time in his young career.
Under Senger, the Cardinals saw Trey McBride blossom into the best tight end in the league. So if he lands the job in Chicago, they should be blessed to have him.
But for now, it’s just a waiting game.
