We can't blame him for wanting to go elsewhere.

It seems as if it has become a battle of two candidates in the Cardinals' head coaching search. With only two vacancies remaining, it will come down to which job is more attractive.

The candidates in question are the Seattle Seahawks' offensive coordinator, Klint Kubiak, and the Los Angeles Rams' offensive coordinator, Mike LaFleur.

The Cardinals have interviewed both candidates numerous times, and it is believed that the two are finalists for the job.

However, with the Raiders interviewing Kubiak in Seattle today, one NFL insider minced words on what he expects to happen.

“With Klint Kubiak expected to meet with the Raiders tomorrow, the belief is that he will take the Las Vegas job or stay in Seattle.”

It seems as if Ryan McFadden is counting the Cardinals out on Klint Kubiak, and not because it is their choice. The growing consensus is that Kubiak is expected to either stay with Seattle for 2026 or inherit the Las Vegas Raiders head coaching job.

In Kubiak’s defense, the Raiders have the No. 1 overall pick that will likely be used on Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza. Vegas definitely has more certainty at quarterback, despite not even selecting their guy yet.

Arizona, on the other hand, has a way more exciting group of skill position players. With Trey McBride, Marvin Harrison Jr., and Michael Wilson all looking to add to their 2025 campaigns, it wouldn’t be a surprise for Kubiak to change his mind and take the job with the Cardinals.

But as of now, it seems as if the 38-year-old offensive guru is between two teams. Either staying in Seattle for another year to coach Sam Darnold, or packing up for Las Vegas.
