The Arizona Cardinals can start planning for 2017 after losing to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday

The Arizona Cardinals sealed their 2016 fate on Sunday with a loss to the Atlanta Falcons 38-19 in the Georgia Dome.  The Cardinals aren’t mathematically eliminated in 2016 however there are so many things that need to happen for a postseason berth that the Cardinals should just start their plans for next season now.

There are still a number of things the Cardinals can accomplish in 2016 but none of those things will include a trip to the playoffs.  The Cardinals can work on re-establishing balanced offensive attack.

The Cardinals can also now start seeing what they might have to look forward to in defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche.  He has been a healthy scratch for the better part of 2016.

The Cardinals have five games remaining, two at home and three on the road.  The Cardinals will play at home next week against the Washington Redskins.  The Redskins are a team that is still fighting for a playoff spot.

Some believe the Cardinals need to blow up the entire roster.  Indeed there does need to be some overhaul but there are also parts that are working and should not be touched.
