Camp Breaks for Preseason Game

The Arizona Cardinals are finally going to get to hit someone other than themselves.  On Saturday they will face the Houston Texans at University of Phoenix Stadium.

The game is sold out, however it will be on live television on ABC 15 on Saturday at 5:00pm.  It will be re-broadcast on tape delay on Sunday on Fox Sports Arizona after the Arizona Diamondbacks-Washington Nationals game.

So, should we expect anything spectacular in the first preseason game?  Probably not.  This will be more about giving young guys a chance to show what they have.  Only expect the starters to play a couple of series at most, Matt Leinart included.  Leinart will probably see a lot of action over the next two games.

The one guy I am looking forward to seeing is receiver Stephen Williams, who has been performing well in camp. There are some who think this guy has a chance to make the team.  Let’s see how he does in game situations.  I also would like to see a good dose of Andre Roberts.  I imagine the fourth and fifth receiver spots are going to be reserved for them unless Onrea Jones starts making a name for himself.

Get ready, now less than 48 hours until kickoff!  Go Cards!
