The Arizona Cardinals have a lot of needs come NFL Draft time, one of them being at tight end. Here is a look at what they have now and why they need help at the position.
What they have now: Jim Dray, Ben Patrick, Stephen Spach
Why they need change and/or addition: Inconsistency. Just when you love one of them, they break your heart. The tight end position was solid in the playoff run in 2009, but was a major disappointment in 2010. Dray failed to live up to expectations and quite frankly more was expected from Patrick and Spach. I would suspect the Cards find a TE in this year's draft at some point.
Possible top draftees: Kyle Rudolph, Notre Dame; Luke Stocker, Tennessee; D.J. Williams, Arkansas; Lance Kendricks, Wisconsin
What will happen: I believe the Cards will swipe one. Maybe by the time they decide to, all of these players will be gone, but it is a deficiency on the roster that needs an immediate upgrade.
