Remember the game in Philadelphia in December two seasons ago? I do. The Cardinals fell behind 17-7 by halftime but made a game of it to get it to a 24-21 game in favor of the Eagles in the fourth quarter. It appeared the Cardinals were going to get a chance to get the ball back and take the lead late until the referees decided to put the game in their hands.
Now, the Eagles won this one fair and square. You can’t fall behind like they did and expect to win, especially in a place like Philadelphia in December. However, the Cardinals were called for two really bad penalties in Philadelphia’s late fourth quarter drive that kept their drive going and the Cardinals chances flushed down the toilet.
Last season the Cardinals got their revenge with a 24-20 victory in Arizona and no doubt a big win to help propel the Cardinals to the playoffs but that was an early November game with plenty of time left in the season. This will be the Cardinals last road test in the regular season and with Green Bay and Seattle on the horizon after this one, there is no downplaying this one.
