Sean Weatherspoon, LB

There were a lot of questions about Weatherspoon coming into the season because of his injuries with the Atlanta Falcons.  The Cardinals took a chance and signed him to a one-year deal. Weathersppon got off to a slow start in training camp though and never took off as the contributor that the team or fans envisioned.

Weatherspoon played in 14 games but he only had 11 tackles as a backup.  That certainly wasn’t the production most were looking for out of him.  He’s a good player but one that Cardinals likely would have been better not taking a chance on.

Now the question is do they try to save face and give him one more year to try and make good on his potential?  The Cardinals might try.  I don’t know which way they are leaning?

Decision: Drop him
