The Cardinals will avoid drafting an offensive lineman early

Now, they may go out and get themselves an offensive lineman or two in the draft, sure.  In fact I would be surprised if they didn’t.  They won’t reach for one like they did last season though.  I believe they have learned their lesson from D.J. Humphries.  Even Jonathan Cooper. Both had high potential and both ended up in coach Bruce Arians doghouse at one point last season.

Humphries and Cooper may still turn out to be something special but right now they are just another roster spot fighting for a job. It is clear the Cardinals reached at number 24 last season but honestly they were in a position where the linebackers they wanted were gone.  They tried to take care of a need.  So far, it hasn’t panned out.

The Cardinals though do need to address the offensive line.  I don’t know if they find any depth in free agency?  They might but adding young middle-round talent might be the way to go here in 2016.
