Week 4: Los Angeles Rams 1:25 pm. FOX

Last season the Rams were one of only two teams to beat the Cardinals in Arizona.  It was a game despite having a difficult time reaching the end zone and trailing 24-15 in the fourth quarter, where the Cardinals sill had a shot to win.  In the end they fell 24-22.

They got the Rams back in their former home of St. Louis back in December, defeating the Rams 27-3.  That game had a much better offensive flow.  Guys like receiver J.J. Nelson and running back Kerwynn Williams had nice days.  The Cardinals learned how to stop an improving Rams offense.

The good news: The Cardinals have a good history of beating the Rams in Arizona.  Certainly they forgot that for one Sunday last season but the Rams are likely to have Case Keenum at quarterback as their rookie quarterback choice will be sitting and learning.

The bad news: The Rams could come into the contest 0-3 and ready to give their rookie a chance to show what he can do, whether that be Carson Wentz or Jared Goff.  Both Cam Newton and Russell Wilson had their first NFL starts in Arizona.  Could the Cards see another debut this season?  Possibly and that could spell some trouble for the Cards defense if they don’t know what to expect.

Prediction: Even with the possibility of a rookie quarterback and given the Rams have running back Todd Gurley, the Cards should be able to finish out the first quarter on the winning end of things.  It is going to take the Rams to get really better.  Don’t sleep on them but at the same time remember, these are still the Rams.

Cardinals 24 Rams 17

Cardinals record after four games should be 4-0.  None of the four games will be gimme’s but at the same time it does favor the Cardinals, even with their lone road game.
