4. Patrick Peterson

Peterson had an off year in 2014 no doubt but he was still out there and some teams were still afraid to throw it his way.  He came out in 2015 and proved he can still be a shutdown corner.

He also had Jerraud Powers on his opposite end.  Now Powers struggled at times and hence the reason the Cardinals chose not to re-sign him.  However Bethel was expected to be the starter opposite Peterson.

Bethel struggled at the end of 2015 and into the playoffs.  With his injury setback to start out camp his status is up in the air.  The depth behind Peterson and Bethel was thought to have been solved with the addition of Jenkins last week.

Jenkins broke is hand and is now out indefinitely, although there was no concern shown about him missing any regular season time.  Still it is a set back for a player learning a new playbook.

If Peterson goes down no question the cornerback depth is tested immediately.  It becomes a troublesome area for the Cardinals to which there is no easy answer out there for replacement.
