Jaxon Shipley

Early on in the game Friday night Shipley didn’t look so hot.  He looked like a guy that wasn’t necessarily lost but a guy who just didn’t seem to be on the right page with his quarterbacks.

He dropped a pass that should have been caught in the first quarter.  The immediate thought was he can’t miss passes like that and expect to make the roster in September.

He more than made up for it though as the game continued on.  He made three catches for 54 yards, including a long of 30 yards.

Shipley was targeted 10 times in the loss.  Many of those passes though were either uncatchable or tough attempts, so that fault can be placed on the quarterback.

Being targeted 10 times though also says that the Cardinals are really looking for him to succeed and help make their decision easier to keep him once the final 53-man roster is decided upon.
