7. Justin Bethel interception return for touchdown at Los Angeles Rams

Deemed a failure-in-progress just weeks earlier by Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians, cornerback Justin Bethel finally made a great play, at least on defense.  All it took was 17 weeks.

Bethel, who struggled all season and clearly frustrated Arians for most of it, made a huge interception against the Rams in week 17.  He returned an interception 66-yards for a touchdown.

It is likely not enough for him to start competing for a starting spot at the position in 2017 but it may get him in some good graces going into the offseason.  His future with the team is likely to be just on special teams however.

Bethel may not even be around as a backup cornerback next season.  If that isn’t the case, then at least Bethel goes out with a bang.  Good for him to show us he has something.
