A.Q. Shipley

2016 team: Arizona Cardinals

Some people believe the Cardinals need to upgrade at the center position.  My question back to those people would be why?  While Shipley isn’t a hot name he seemed to get the job done in 2016.

Shipley also will likely not cost an arm and a leg in free agency.  While the Cardinals likely will try to tinker with the line a bit and probably look to give backup Evan Boehm another shot next season, any other move here would be the wrong one.

The Cardinals need to focus on spending their money elsewhere.  Shipley is serviceable and was probably the least of the Cardinals concerns on the line in 2016.

There would be little surprise if the Cardinals make Shipley one of their next free agent signing’s. Stick with what you know and do it while not having to break the bank.  Its a win-win situation for the organization.
