Linebacker Haason Reddick has had an up and down preseason so far

The Cardinals have one of the league’s best pass rushing duos in Chandler Jones and Markus Golden. However, the two inside linebacker spots are a bit of a question right now. Deone Bucannon’s health is an issue, leaving Karlos Dansby and Haason Reddick as the presumed starters.

Reddick had a nice showing in his first preseason game. He flashed the quickness and athleticism that made him 13th overall pick in this year’s draft. Last week, against the Raiders, he struggled, and had little impact.

Rookies are expected to be inconsistent, so it’s no surprise. However, the Cardinals need Reddick to play at a high level. He certainly has the tools to not only be an effective player, but to keep the starting job even after Bucannon comes back. He’ll try to bounce back this weekend with expanded playing time.
