Carson Palmer

It might be a little tougher for Palmer to return than Fitz.  Palmer may not have a choice whether he returns or not.

Local media speculates that Palmer’s return will be a team decision, not his, despite being under contract for next season.  Still if Fitz comes back and even if he doesn’t, don’t you think the Cardinals need a mentor for a young quarterback?

Palmer will be completely healthy but he will also be 38 when next season comes around.  Are the Cardinals willing to allow him to ride out his contract?

The team isn’t in a position right now to draft one of the top quarterbacks in the draft.  Plus Palmer was still playing at a high level when he was lost for the season with his broken arm.

It could still go either way but leaning towards the team keeping him for 2018 seems to be the smart thinking right now.  Things could change but it’s not looking like it.
