Blaine Gabbert

The Blaine Gabbert project may have come to an end last Sunday in Washington.  Sure, the Cardinals can say all the right things but in the end it is what have you done for me lately.

No, not all the blame for the debacle in Washington can be blamed on Gabbert.  However after going 10 straight quarters of not getting the ball into the end zone, the Cardinals have started to realize Gabbert may not be the quarterback of the future here.

Now, they haven’t come out and said that specifically and don’t look for them to.  However just a couple of weeks removed from proclaiming they were looking to bring him back, there was none of that talk this past week.

The Cardinals are starting Drew Stanton this week over Gabbert.  There isn’t much to read into that, yet.  However it is interesting if this team is truly trying to evaluate Gabbert for the future, wouldn’t you want him to start the final two games since now the playoffs are no longer on the table?
