D.J. Foster

This decision could be a little tougher.  After not playing for the first several weeks of being in Arizona, Foster has gotten his chance.

He has looked more impressive as a receiver than a running back during his “audition”.  He has shown us flashes of being a very productive backup back in the NFL.

However there may not be room for him once David Johnson and T.J. Logan return.  Right now, it is a very good possibility that Foster is really auditioning for his next NFL team.

Even as a local favorite coming out of Arizona State, that is not enough to justify bringing Foster back next season.  The depth chart is too deep.  His play has not been consistent enough to really fit his way into a crowded backfield.

Sure, there could always be a surprise elsewhere on the roster that at least allows Foster to come to camp and try to make the 2018 roster.  That may happen but it is hard to see him on the 53-man roster come September.
