Mike Shula

This name will get passed around a lot.  His name is included here for your consideration only.  The Cardinals may not consider him but since he has been an offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, he could be the type of guy the team is looking for.

Shula has been the offensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers since 2013.  The Panthers have been to a Super Bowl and are looking to get back to another this season.

Shula, once the head coach of the University of Alabama from 2003-2006, has been an NFL offensive assistant coach since 1988 outside of those three seasons in Alabama.  There has been some speculation it might be time for a team to give him a chance based on what he’s done in Carolina.

There have been no connections made known between Shula and the Cardinals opening but again if they are looking for offensive-minded, at least they should be knocking on this door to see if there is anything behind it.
