1. Palmer long pass to Fitzgerald in playoff game against Green Bay

Speaking of the NFC playoffs, perhaps the greatest moment in Palmer’s tenure in Arizona came in his only career playoff victory.  This was yet one more game the Cardinals almost allowed to slip away.

Palmer and the Cardinals struggled to a 7-6 halftime lead.  The Green Bay Packers were able to take an early 13-7 third quarter lead.  The Cardinals eventually would take a 20-13 lead that looked secured.

That is until Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was able to throw two complete hail mary’s in the final seconds to get the Packers to overtime tied at 20.  Then the real fun began.

On the first play of overtime, Palmer scrambled to his right, almost getting sacked, and found Fitz all the way across the field to his left.  Fitz was all by himself.

Fitz was tripped up at the five after a 75-yard pass play.  Two plays later Fitz caught the shovel pass for the five-yard touchdown from Palmer to vault them into the NFC Championship game.
