Kirk Cousins

Cousins just completed his sixth NFL season with the Washington Redskins.  There is a good chance he’ll land somewhere else in 2018.

The big question is who will pay him what he wants?  Someone will.  The Cardinals may not have enough to grab him.

That doesn’t mean that shouldn’t or couldn’t try.  However they would need to part with some other pieces or have some restructured contracts to make it happen.

Cousins just had his third consecutive plus 4,000-yard season.  He threw 27 touchdowns in 2017.  He also threw a career-high 13 interceptions though.

There will be a number of teams that will send out feelers on him.  It could also come down to supporting cast.  If Larry Fitzgerald announces he is returning, that could go a long way.

If Fitz retires, that doesn’t count Cousins out by any stretch of the imagination but it certainly doesn’t help their cause.  The Cardinals will likely need to commit to some receivers as well in order to get Cousins to agree to come to Arizona.
