Kirk Cousins, quarterback

Although not technically a free agent yet, he will be by the time the market opens on March 14th. The chances of the Washington Redskins keeping him were drastically reduced with the trade for Alex Smith several weeks ago.

The Redskins could still have him return if they were to flip Smith but it is highly unlikely.  Cousins name has been linked with pretty much every NFL team that has a quarterback opening right now.

A lot of fans don’t want him.  It is understandable.  However he has taken the Redskins to the playoffs.  He is going to likely be available very soon though.

The Cardinals should at least make a call and see what it would take to get him.  Nothing gained or lost by one call.

He won’t come cheap no matter who signs him but virtually everyone knows that.  If the Cardinals plan on drafting a quarterback high in April’s draft, then Cousins definitely would not be the way to go in free agency.
